Isn't there an Edith Bell House in Hillside - sheltered accomodation - just off Rickmansworth Lane?

Is it the same Edith Bell?

Just spotted this...

I believe that she used to be a local councillor and lived in Denham Lane. I'll find out a bit more for you though as t'other half used to live fairly close to her.

OK confirmed, she was a local councillor and lived in Denham Lane certainly in the 50's/60's, she was also heavily involved in the CsP Arts Festival . In recognition of her dedication etc. Edith Bell house was named after her.

As much as is probably sensible to put on a public forum is that she was married and had two children.

PM me if you need more help.

Why not contact the Misbourne Art Society?  She might have been a member and someone there might remember her and whether she exhibited.

Take it down to Amersham auction rooms. They have a data base.
