Been open a few days now.
Personally think it is a really good refit with a lot of thought having gone into product placement and fittings. Nice flooring and all feels very bright. The check-outs seem good and self service tills will assist those who just want to pop in for the odd item. Produce seems good and fresh.
Let us hope that people support it.

i agree, and as far as i am concerned its loads better than budgens,  - i kind of feel  co op is more ethical in its retailing too...

they are also supporting the local school too, and trying to do their bit for the community....
need a stella and i need one now !

Yes, it's a nice layout though the products all seem the same as Budgens, but without all the lovely local produce we could buy in Budgens. At least, if the local produce is there, I couldn't find it on the shelves.

I've tried their bread, which I found very heavy and stodgy, esp the so-called French bread. I also find their pay & display parking, with just one hour's free parking, is not as generous as I'd hoped, so I'm afraid Tesco in GX, with their free 3 hour parking, will continue to get my custom. Shame.

Tried it for the first time the other night for one item only. Thai green curry paste. They didn't have it, only some organic sauce alternative.

Utter rubbish, will not be shopping here again unless absolutely desperate. Tracks and Waitrose in GX has no competition here.

I certainly remember the chickens in Budgens were nice, I assume Co op will change these though

I don't believe they have a fresh meat counter or a spit roast. Only pre-packed and shipped-in meat. Another disappointing aspect.

No Thai green curry paste. Middle class problem

I apologise for having superior taste needs than yourself. Curry paste is barely a rare commodity. Don't worry, they had your oven chips in stock.
