You've hopefully received a letter about the early planning for a new Community Centre building and a request to take a survey.

The survey they would like completed by local residents can be found here https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/T6Z3TPS

The letter information is here :

Our village needs a new community centre. The maintenance costs on the current 60-year old building are too high and the demand from our growing population already exceeds its capacity. We need your help to plan our new facility. Please take a few moments to complete and return the attached Freepost questionnaire.

We need a new Community Centre Chalfont St Peter’s existing community centre is reaching the end of its useful life. The maintenance costs are rising and demand exceeds supply.

Already about 1,500 people from more than 75 groups, including U3A, Bridge, table tennis, judo, fine arts, and a children’s nursery, visit the centre each week. We frequently have to turn away bookings. There is also an option to work with the local Guides, whose current very old building has also outlived its original purpose and is used by 80 young people every week, but without any space for parking and has high maintenance costs.

Our plans We have started planning a new, bigger and better community centre, which we hope will also incorporate a new Guide facility. We envisage the new building will include a bigger central hall and stage area with up-dated sound and lighting, and more meeting rooms with wifi facilities.

Help us plan our new facilities You can help by telling us your views on the facilities the new building should provide.

Please take a few moments to fill in the short questionnaire opposite, which you can tear off and return using its FREEPOST or drop it off at the existing community centre, or the Co-op.

Thank you
David Burbidge,
Chairman,
Chalfont St Peter Community Centre
